At around 1:20 PM today (July 11), in the upper part of Unit 3 Reactor Building, hydraulic oil was found leaking from unmanned heavy equipment used for debris removal.
We consider that the leaked oil has not flowed into the spent fuel pool, since the location of the unmanned heavy equipment and the spent fuel pool was distant.
The oil leakage was confirmed to be stopped as we lifted down this heavy equipment to the ground from the upper part of Unit 3 Reactor Building and had a check.
Further, the heavy equipment is being placed on a drain pan temporarily just in case.
At around 1:43 PM, this incident was reported to the fire department.
