On July 8, we started foundation improvement work (chemical Injection) at the bank protection between the water intakes of Fukushima Daiichi NPS Units 1 and 2 in response to the detection of high densities of Tritium and Strontium in the observation hole at the east side of the Unit 1-4 Turbine Buildings of Fukushima Daiichi NPS.

In the foundation improvement work at the bank protection, formation of the first line is scheduled until the middle of July. Formation of the second line is scheduled from the middle to the end of July.

In order to provide better understanding of this work, we have posted materials (including a video and photos) for how the work is carried out, illustrations of solidification of the liquid chemical, etc., on our website.
