We deeply apologize to the people of Fukushima and broader society for the tremendous inconvenience and anxiety caused by the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
Since March 11, 2011, the special measures for electricity bills have been applied upon request to our customers eligible for receiving compensation who evacuated from the evacuation zone in accordance with the Act on Special Measures Concerning Nuclear Emergency Preparedness (Previously announced on September 30 and December 26, 2011 and March 26 and September 12, 2012). For the purpose of reducing burden on these customers until the compensation is paid out, the special measures will be partially changed. Our request to add supply conditions not included in the supply provisions developed based on the proviso of Article 21, paragraph 1 of the Electricity Business Act (Special Measures for Electricity Bills Applied to the Customers Eligible for Compensation who Evacuated from the Evacuation Zone in Accordance to the Act on Special Measures Concerning Nuclear Emergency Preparedness) submitted to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry has been approved today.
The following is the outline of the changes made to the special measures for electricity bills.
- Further extension of the electricity bill payment due date at a new residence
[Eligibility]
Applied upon request to the customers eligible for receiving compensation who evacuated from the evacuation zone after March 11, 2011 in the case of newly concluding an electricity contract in our service area.

The payment due date (the 30th day from the following day of the meter reading) for electricity bill of each month from March 2011 through August 2013 is extended to October 31, 2013.
