This is follow-up information regarding the water leak from the underground reservoirs at Fukushima Daiichi NPS.
The results of sampling performed in the underground reservoirs yesterday (April 24) are as follows.
- Drain holes of the underground reservoirs No.1-7
- Leakage detection holes of the underground reservoirs No.1-4 and 6
- Observation holes of the underground reservoirs (around reservoirs No.1-3): A1-A19
- Observation holes of the underground reservoirs (around reservoir No.6): B1-B3
- Observation hole on the sea side (4)
The results obtained in the locations where sampling was performed for the first time (observation holes of the underground reservoirs A1, A6, A7 and A17) were equivalent to those of other observation holes.
As for the results obtained in other sampling locations, no significant change was found compared to the previous analysis results.
In addition, the results of tritium sampling performed on April 17 are as follows.
- Drain holes of the underground reservoirs No.1-7
- Leakage detection holes of the underground reservoirs No.1-4 and 6
As for the tritium analysis results of the underground reservoirs, tritium was detected in locations such as the drain hole and the leakage detection hole (in the northeast side) of the underground reservoir No.1 where high all β was detected.
