This is follow-up information regarding the water leak from the underground reservoirs at Fukushima Daiichi NPS.
The results of the sampling performed in the drain holes (at 2 locations) of the underground reservoir No.1 in the afternoon on April 9 are as follows.
- Water in the drain hole (in the northeast side) of the underground reservoir No.1
Sampling performed at 5:40 PM on April 9
Chloride concentration: 7ppm
- Water in the drain hole (in the southwest side) of the underground reservoir No.1
Sampling performed at 5:40 PM on April 9
Chloride concentration: 14ppm
We will continue to strengthen monitoring water levels etc. at the underground reservoir No.1.
