Regarding the suspension of Unit 3 spent fuel pool alternative cooling system at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station announced on April 5, the alternative cooling system was restarted at 5:20 PM on the same day.
The pool water temperature as of 6:10 PM was 15.2℃. (Previously announced)
(The pool water temperature before the cooling was suspended was 15.1℃ as of 2:00 PM on April 5.)
Unit 3 spent fuel pool water temperatures after the restart are as follows.
11:00 PM on April 5: 15.5℃ (Announced on April 6)
5:00 AM on April 6: 15.5℃ (Announced on April 6)
11:00 AM on April 6: 15.5℃ (Announced on April 7)
5:00 PM on April 6: 15.7℃ (Announced on April 7)
11:00 PM on April 6: 16.1℃ (Announced on April 7)
5:00 AM on April 7: 16.3℃ (Announced on April 7)
11:00 AM on April 7: 16.6℃
5:00 PM on April 7: 16.7℃
11:00 PM on April 7: 16.7℃
5:00 AM on April 8: 16.5℃
*Though the pool water temperature has been increasing since 5:00 PM on April 6, it is due to the increase in the outside air temperature. The pool water is being stably cooled.
