On December 12, 2011, we received a directive document*1 "Revision of technical specification based on the evaluation results of the facility management plan of TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (Direction)" from the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

In accordance with the direction given, we have submitted a request to change the technical specification for the nuclear reactor facility at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power station*2 to the Nuclear Regulation Authority today.
Provided below is the outline of the change to be made.
According to the change of the reports on our facility management plan for Units 1-4 of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station based on the "Policy on the Mid-term Security" (Version 1) (Revision 2) and (Version 3) (Revision), the technical specification provisions related to the facilities will be added to Chapter 12 or changed.

*2 Technical specification for the nuclear reactor facility
Government-approved fundamental rules for nuclear power station operators to follow in order to maintain safe operation and stable condition of nuclear power stations (including operation management, fuel management, radiation management, emergency measures and equipment/facility management based on the "Policy on the Mid-term Security"), which are stipulated by Article 37 Section 1 of the Act on the Regulations of Nuclear Source Material, Nuclear Fuel Material and Reactors.
