In accordance to the Act on Special Measures concerning Nuclear Emergency Preparedness which became effective in June 2000, the "Nuclear operator emergency action plan" was developed for Fukushima Daiichi and Daini Nuclear Power Stations respectively.
The Act on Special Measures concerning Nuclear Emergency Preparedness stipulates that nuclear operators must review their "Nuclear operator emergency action plan" every year and make modifications if necessary.
According to the revision, etc. of the Act on Special Measures concerning Nuclear Emergency Preparedness in response to the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, we have discussed the changes to be made on the "Nuclear operator emergency action plans" for Fukushima Daiichi and Daini Nuclear Power Stations with Fukushima Prefecture and the local municipalities.
As the discussion with the local municipalities has been concluded and the preparation has been completed, we have submitted the "Nuclear operator emergency action plans" for Fukushima Daiichi and Daini Nuclear Power Stations to the Prime Minister and the Nuclear Regulation Authority today.

Stipulates nuclear disaster (escalation) prevention operations and operations necessary for restoration in the case of a nuclear disaster.
