Today, a "Third party investigation committee on TEPCO's response to the investigative panel appointed by the parliament" (hereafter the "third party investigation committee") has been established in order to have outside experts investigate the background and cause of TEPCO providing false information to the investigative panel appointed by the parliament. The investigation results will be promptly announced after they are provided by the third party investigation committee.
The third party investigation committee will investigate the following through interviewing the involved parties on TEPCO's side, checking related documents, etc.
- Whether or not the false information was provided intentionally.
- What role the superiors played in the decision-making process of the information provided.
We will cooperate fully with the third party investigation committee.
The third party investigation committee is comprised of the following members.
