Establishment of TEPCO Energy Partner’s first overseas subsidiary – Developing our energy service business in the Kingdom of Thailand –

   TEPCO Energy Partner, Inc. has established its first overseas subsidiary, “TEPCO Energy Partner International (Thailand) Co., Ltd.”, in Bangkok, for the purpose of providing energy services for Japanese companies based in the Kingdom of Thailand. The subsidiary was established in May and began operations today.

1. Background and purpose of establishment
   Many Japanese companies have opened offices in Thailand, and TEPCO Energy Partner has received various requests from those companies regarding energy usage in local factories, such as how to conserve energy and CO₂. Therefore, we decided to establish a new company in Thailand to provide these services that leverage the technological prowess and knowledge we have cultivated in Japan.

2. Business description
   In recent years, TEPCO Energy Partner has provided services related to the design, procurement, construction, ownership and maintenance of various types of energy equipment/facilities including solar power generation facilities, of which more and more have been built in Thailand. These services enable the efficient use of energy while reducing total energy costs without initial investment. In the future, we will further strengthen our business with the aim of providing these services to non-Japanese companies as well.

   As a comprehensive energy service company, TEPCO Energy Partner will continue to take on the challenge of creating new value by meeting the diverse needs of society, while providing strong support for the lifestyles of our customers and corporate growth.
