TEPCO: Free Electrons Announces Cohort of 12 Energy Startups

Energy startups across eight countries are changing the energy systems of tomorrow

Tokyo, April 21 - Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Incorporated announced today that Free Electrons, a global accelerator program for innovative energy-related startups, selected their first cohort of 12 innovative energy startups selected from 450 applications across 51 countries.

This exclusive list of startups is disrupting their respective energy sectors including grid operations, renewable energy, electric vehicles and home energy management. Free Electrons is a platform to propel their solutions to the global stage with the support of eight international utilities: TEPCO, AusNet Services, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Electricity Supply Board, Energias de Portugal, innogy, Origin Energy, and Singapore Power. Startups will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in local ecosystems delivered through three uniquely structured week-long modules in Silicon Valley, Lisbon, Dublin and Singapore.
