With regards to the article in Yomiuri Shinbum's April 17 morning edition which reported that TEPCO has determined to restart the operation of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station currently being idled in this autumn, we would like to note that we have not made this announcement. There is no fact that we have determined or made any plan for the restart of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station in autumn.
We, at TEPCO, will continue to address safety measures for the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station in light of the accident at the Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, and make every effort in addressing compliance assessment with new regulatory standards.
