Submission of the Revised Restoration Plan (Revision 3) in Accordance with the Nuclear Plant Operator's Anti-Disaster Measures Operation Plan for Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station and the Corrected Interim Progress Report (Restoration Completion of Unit 3)

At Fukushima Daini Power Station, the equipment/facilities necessary for maintaining cold shutdown are being restored based on the restoration plan developed in accordance with the Nuclear Plant Operator's Anti-Disaster Measures Operation Plan. Following the restoration completion of Unit 4 on May 17, 2012, restoration of the equipment/facilities maintaining cold shutdown has been completed at Unit 3 (October 11, 2012). In addition, Units 3-4 discharge channel monitoring equipment (common facility) has been restored as well (September 21, 2012). On October 16, 2012, a progress report including these updates was submitted to the Prime Minister, the Nuclear Regulation Authority and the governors of Fukushima prefecture, Naraha town and Tomioka town along with the updated restoration plan (revision 2, including the restoration completion of Unit 3). (Previously announced on October 16, 2012)

As a result of the inspection done by the Nuclear Regulation Authority from November 7 to 9, 2012, the progress report has been partially corrected and resubmitted today along with the revised restoration plan with the corrections incorporated (revision 3).

In accordance with the restoration plan, we will continue our utmost efforts in enhancing the reliability of equipment/facilities necessary to maintain cold shutdown at Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station.
