The Reports on our facility management plan for Unit 1-4 of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station based on the "Policy on the Mid-term Security" (Version 1, Revision 2*1 and Version 3, Revision*2) have been revised and submitted to the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA) of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry today.
The major changes incorporated this time are as follows.
- Installation of multi-nuclide removal equipment
- Temporary storage of the high performance containers stuffed with the secondary waste generated in the multi-nuclide removal equipment in the spent cesium absorption tower temporary storage facility
- Underground water reservoir built to store the treatment water for the multi-nuclide removal equipment
- Pumping groundwater on the hill on the mountain side to reduce the amount of groundwater flowing into the buildings.
Report on our facility management plan for Unit 1-4 of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station based on the "Policy on the Mid-term Security" (Version 1, Revision 2)
- Highly radioactive contaminated water treatment facility, storage facilities (such as tanks), spent sludge storage facility, spent cesium absorption tower storage facility and related equipments (transfer pipes and pumps, etc.)
- Buildings where highly radioactive contaminated water is stored (or accumulated)
Report on our facility management plan for Unit 1-4 of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station based on the "Policy on the Mid-term Security" (Version 3, Revision)
- Instructions on managing radiation exposure through radioactive materials and objects contaminated by radioactive materials and disposing radioactive waste
- Radioactive liquid waste treatment facility and related facilities/equipments
We will continue our utmost efforts in ensuring safety at Unit 1-4 of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in accordance with the facility management plan (version 1-3) we have developed.
