In accordance with the "Feed-in Tariff Scheme for Renewable Energy" stipulated by the "Act on Purchase of Renewable Energy Sourced Electricity by Electric Utilities" (to be effective on July 1, 2012), we submitted a request for the approval of the supply conditions outside of the terms of Electricity Supply to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (Press release issued on June 20, 2012). Today, we announce that the approval was given as requested.
With this approval given, "Solar Surcharge" exemption will be applied to those who have been afflicted by the Great East Japan Earthquake*. Also, renewable energy can be purchased utilizing the dedicated service line for the approved power facilities specified in the Act on Purchase of Renewable Energy Sourced Electricity by Electric Utilities (those which fulfill the requirements).
*Those who have been afflicted by the Great East Japan Earthquake
1) Customers who have been certified by the government for damages of housing or other facilities/equipments due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and who applied for exemption.
2) Customers who used electricity in the Evacuation Area (set due to the nuclear accident triggered by the Great East Japan Earthquake) and evacuated to our service area and who applied for exemption.
Customers in the deregulated sector and those who receive power from a Power Producer and Supplier who fulfill the requirements above are also subject to the exemption.
