Submission of the Progress Report (Interim) and the Revised Restoration Plan Based on the Nuclear Station Operator's Anti- Disaster Measures Operation Plan for Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station

For the purpose of implementing the Measures for Restoration from Nuclear Emergency at Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station, we submitted the restoration plan developed based on the Nuclear Plant Operator's Anti- Disaster Measures Operation Plan to the minister of METI and the governors of Fukushima prefecture, Naraha town, and Tomioka town. (Press release issued on January 31, 2012)

At Fukushima Daini Power Station, the restoration of equipments/facilities necessary for maintaining the cold shutdown is in progress based on the restoration plan developed in accordance with the Nuclear Plant Operator's Anti- Disaster Measures Operation Plan. On May 17, the restoration (permanent installation) of all the equipments/facilities maintaining stable cold shutdown condition has been completed for Unit 4.

We have submitted the interim progress report and the revised restoration plan (which include updates such as Unit 4 restoration completion) to the minister of METI and the governors of Fukushima prefecture, Naraha town and Tomioka town.

In accordance with the restoration plan, we will continue utmost efforts in improving the reliability of equipments and facilities necessary to maintain the cold shutdown in accordance with the restoration plan.
