Re-report to NISA regarding insufficient maintenance for the measuring control facilities of the plants under long-term shutdown at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station

On March 16, 2012, TEPCO reported to NISA that we have confirmed the soundness and evaluated the safety of the 93 measuring facilities which was overdue the self-management period in the firm rule and was required function during the plant shutdown by safety regulation at units 2, 3 and 4 of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station which are under long-term shutdown. And we have confirmed that all facilities either ‘had no problem in function' or ‘had no effect to the safety of the plant'.

We re-checked the documents before the explanation to NISA, we found the 7 mistakes at the attachments which we reported. Today, we re-reported to NISA after revise these mistakes. These mistakes will be no influences to the evaluation.

In this verification process for the documents, we checked the report with the instruction which made the way for confirmation clear and other section's members checked them again.

For the future reports, we will cope appropriately with scrupulous attention under these organizations.
