Press Release (Mar 16,2012)
Submission of the altered maintenance plan of Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Plant Units 1-4

Today Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Plant submitted the altered
maintenance plan settled according to the 'maintenance regulations of the
electric facilities for electric business (nuclear facilities)', under the
Electric Utility Industry Law.

Since the operation of Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Plant Units 1-4 have
been suspended since the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake occurred, we settled a
'special maintenance plan (long term preservation plan)' regarding the
lines and facilities which will be necessary for maintaining a stable and
a long-term cold shutdown of the reactors.

According to this plan, we will implement necessary maintenance activities
of the facilities essential for maintaining cold shutdown of the reactors
and enhance reliability.

April 1, 2009.
*2 special maintenance plan
A special maintenance plan is required in cases when the operation of the
