Shutdown of the Stage 1 of the Group 4 of Futtsu Thermal Power Plant
The stage 1 of the Group 4 of Futtsu Thermal Power Plant (the Director: 
Kenji Matsuzaki, place: Shintomi 25, Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, rated 
capacity: 507MW) of Tepco has stopped the power generation at 11:24 am on 
February 6, since on the same day there proved to be the possibility of 
damage on the current plate* installed at the entrance of the exhaust heat 
recovery boiler when it was in operation at the rated capacity.

As cooling of the exhaust heat recovery boiler was completed today, we 
inspected the current plate and damage was confirmed. Therefore, we will 
set out a repair work of the damage.

Since the supply capacity is 50,100MW today, reserve rate of 10.1% is 
likely to be secured.
* An equipment for prevention of turbulence of the emission from the gas 
  turbine.
