Today, Tokyo Electric Power Company submitted the application for approval
on setting up a supply condition out of the Terms of Electricity Supply,
in order to apply the "Solar Surcharge" to the electricity bill of the
customer starting from April 2012, in accordance with the "Surplus
electricity buyback program for the photovoltaic power generation".
The "Surplus electricity buyback program for the photovoltaic power
generation" started from November 1, 2009, in accordance with the "Act on
promoting the use of nonfossil energy resources and the effective use of
fossil energy resources by energy supply utilities" and other related laws
(hereinafter referred to as "the Acts").
The expenses for purchasing the photovoltaic power based on this program
are determined to be borne by all the customers using electricity,
including HV and EHV customers, as the "Solar Surcharge". Specifically,
they are taken as a part of the electricity charge of each month, after
they are calculated as a function of consumed amount of electricity, based
upon the "Solar Surcharge Rate", which is calculated in accordance with
the provisions of the Acts.

The calculated amount of the Solar Surcharge Rate of FY 2012 (applied to
the charge from April 2012 to March 2013) in accordance with the provisions
of the Acts is as follows.
Regarding the Terms of Electricity Supply for Wheeling, we applied the
special approval for application of the "Solar Surcharge" from April 2012,
to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry today.
