Power Supply to the Tohoku Electric Power Company (January 12)
Upon the Tohoku Electric Power Company's request via the Electric Power

the anticipated severe power demand-supply balance in its service area,
TEPCO decided to provide power supply to Tohoku Electric Power Company of
300 MW from 17:00 pm to 18:00 pm today in the form of Power Interchange
while considering its own power demand-supply balance.

This operation will not have any negative impact in the power supply in
TEPCO's service area.

<reference> Power Interchange (Power interchange across the service areas)
Power interchange conduced between electric power companies in order to
secure the stable power supply as a nation in case of the power supply
failure due to accident or demand-supply gap at the time of sharp demand
increase.
ESCJ takes a role as an agent in coordinating the power interchange. The
electric power company asking for the additional power supply makes
application for ESCJ. ESCJ then coordinate with other electric power
