Today, we submitted the application for the amendment to the Safety
Regulations for Nuclear Reactor Facilities* of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear
Power Plant to NISA for the purpose to prescribe the operation rules of
PCV gas control system of Unit 1 and to change the job duties at Fukushima
Daiichi Stabilizing Centre, because we started full scale operation in PCV
gas control system of unit 1 and completed the Step 2 of "Roadmap towards
Restoration from the Accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station".
The application summaries of the amendment to the Safety Regulations for
Nuclear Reactor Facilities are as follows.
○It prescribes the operation rules of PCV gas control system of unit 1,
because the consecutive monitoring for the short half-life radionuclide
was enable by the radiation detector in PCV gas control system.
○It is changed the job duties at Fukushima Daiichi Stabilizing Centre,
because of the complete the Step2 of "Roadmap towards Restoration from the
Accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station"

As per Article 37 Clause 1 of the Law on the Regulation of Nuclear Source
Material, Nuclear Fuel Material and Reactors, this sets forth the basic
matters for person who establishes the nuclear reactor to safely operate
the nuclear power station (operation management, fuel management,
radiation management, emergency procedures, etc.) and approved by the
government.
