In accordance with the "Act on Special Measures concerning Nuclear
Emergency Preparedness" (hereinafter "the Act") put into effect in June
2000, we prepared the "Nuclear Plant Operator's Anti-Disaster Measures
Operation Plan*" for each power stations of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear
Power Plant, Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Plant and Kashiwazaki-Kariwa
Nuclear Power Plant, and have operated them.
It is stipulated in the Act, that nuclear plant operator shall review the
"Nuclear Plant Operator's Anti-Disaster Measures Operation Plan" every
year and revise it in case of necessity.
As the result of the review of this time, concerning the revisions such as
the organizational changes in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure,
Transport and Tourism in the "Nuclear Plant Operator's Anti-Disaster
Measures Operation Plan" of each power station, we have been discussing
with local government including Fukushima and Niigata Prefectures.
Today, as the discussions have been finalized and revision has been
prepared, we announce that we notified the "Nuclear Plant Operator's
Anti-Disaster Measures Operation Plan" of each power station to the
Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

In accordance with the "Act on Special Measures concerning Nuclear
Emergency Preparedness," required tasks for prevention of occurrence and
spread of nuclear disasters, recovery from the nuclear disaster, and so
on are stipulated.
