Further to Tohoku Electric Power Company's request for power interchange
(nationwide interchange) via the Electric Power System Council of Japan,
taking account of the supply and demand balance of our service area, we
decided to supply maximum of 300MW (nationwide interchange) from 4:00 pm
to 7:00 pm tomorrow.
While we are to supply a maximum of 300MW in total to Tohoku Electric
Power Company during the period indicated above, the supply and demand
outlook is that we can maintain adequate reserve capacity. Hence there
will be no issue in securing stable electric power supply in our service
area.

<Reference> support interchange (nationwide interchange)
In response to the supply and demand gap caused by accidents at the power
source and the surge in power demand, in order to maintain nationwide
supply and demand stability, as a matter of emergency evacuation, electric
utilities interchange power between themselves.
In doing so, the Electric Power System Council of Japan (ESCJ) will
conduct the mediation. (An electric utility that requires power supply
will ask ESCJ for support. ESCJ will check with the other electric
utilities. Electric utilities that can supply power will make offers to
ESCJ and the power interchange will be determined.)
