Press Release (Nov 07,2011)
Actual CO2 emissions and CO2 emission intensity in fiscal 2010
Based on the "Estimation, Reporting and Disclosure Guideline on Greenhouse
Gas Emission" in "Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures",
TEPCO's actual CO2 emissions in fiscal 2010 were 109.9 million tons, an
increase of 2% from previous year.

After reflecting carbon credits in Kyoto Mechanisms, the adjusted CO2
emissions in fiscal 2010 were 109.7 million tons (up 21% from previous
year) and the adjusted CO2 emission intensity was 0.374kg-CO2/kWh(up 15%
from previous year).

In fiscal 2010, while the generation amount of nuclear power stations
increased with restart of Unit 1 and 5 at Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power
Station, CO2 emissions increased since the generation amount of thermal
power stations increased due to high temperature in summer.

CO2 emission intensity is planned to be published as CO2 emission
intensity by utility after the government confirmation.
