We, Tokyo Electric Power Company, applied to the Nuclear Damage
Compensation Facilitation Corporation (hereafter, the "Corporation") for
financial support on October 28, and also applied to the ministers in
charge (the Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry)
for accreditation/approval of the Special Business Plan, which was drafted
in cooperation with the Corporation on the same day. Today, the plan was
approved.

Based on this approved Special Business Plan, implementation will begin
immediately in consideration of those afflicted by the nuclear damage.  We
will provide the "compensation with empathy and consideration", while
continuing to work towards the drastic streamlining of present management.
