We sincerely apologize to residents residing near the power stations and
the general public for the tremendous inconvenience and anxiety that has
arisen on account of the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power
Station and Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station (the "Accident").

While we have been processing permanent indemnifications for damages
caused by the Accident to concerned persons, this is to inform that we
have submitted the request for payment of compensation for damages caused
by Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station accident per the Compensation
Contract for Nuclear Damage stipulated in Article 2 of the Act on
Compensation for Nuclear Damage (Act No. 147 of 1961) to the Ministry of
Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology today.

We will continue to do our best to ensure that the indemnification payment
process is as convenient as possible for all applicants.
