As a part of reinforcing monitoring activity of the surrounding
environment of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station which was damaged
by the Tohoku-Chihou-Taiheiyou-Oki Earthquake, we started sampling of
radioactive fallouts* on August 22, 2011.
(previously announced on August 17)
We conducted nuclide analysis of the samples collected during the period
from July 13 to October 3, 2011, and radioactive materials were detected
as shown in the appendix.
We reported today the above results to Nuclear Industry and Safety Agency
as well as to the government of Fukushima Prefecture.
The analysis results of the three nuclides, Iodine-131, Cesium-134 and
Cesium-137, are released as fixed figures and the other nuclide figures
are to be revaluated.
