We had been studying to implement sampling surveys on the ocean soil, 
completed preparations and conducted the surveys on April 29, 2011. 
                                  (Previously announced on May 3, 2011)
 
We conducted nuclide analysis for the ocean soil sampled on October 12. 
As a result, radioactive materials were detected as shown in the appendix.
 
The sampling surveys planned at one coastal sea area and three offshore 
sea areas yesterday were cancelled due to bad weather, etc. 
 
Today, we reported the results to NISA and the government of Fukushima 
Prefecture.
 
We will continuously conduct the same sampling surveys.
