Special Measures for the electricity bills for the customers who have evacuated from the area to which evacuation order etc. have been directed, based on the Act on Special Measures Concerning Nuclear Emergency Preparedness, and who are eligible to permanent indemnification.
We sincerely express our apologies for great inconvenience and worry
caused by our nuclear power plant accident to the people in the area near
the power plant as well as the people in the entire society.

On March 11, 2011 the Tohoku - Chihou - Taiheiyou - Oki Earthquake caused
the abovementioned accident. To part of Fukushima Prefecture area,
evacuation order and stay-indoors order were directed based on the Act on
Special Measures concerning Nuclear Emergency Preparedness. Likewise,
no-go zone, deliberate evacuation area and evacuation prepared area in
case of emergency were designated (hereinafter called, "evacuation order
etc.")

Under the scheme of indemnification institution for nuclear damages
including the law of Organization Supporting Indemnification for Nuclear
Damages which was enacted on August 3, we are working on the permanent
indemnification for confirmed damages (hereinafter called, "permanent
indemnification") in light of "the interim guideline governing nuclear
disaster compensation coverage due to the accidents at Fukushima Daiichi
and Daini Nuclear Power Stations" prepared by the Dispute Arbitration
Panel Regarding Compensation for Nuclear Damage on August 5.

Therefore, we have applied to Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for
and have acquired an approval for setting exceptional conditions of
electricity supply (Special Measures for the customers who have evacuated
from the area to which evacuation order etc. have been directed, based on
the Act on Special Measures Concerning Nuclear Emergency Preparedness, and
who are eligible to permanent indemnification) to General Supply Provisions,
based on a proviso of Section I of Article 21 of Electricity Business Act.
This setting is for the purpose of defrayment mitigation for the period
until permanent indemnification for the customers who have evacuated from
the area to which evacuation order etc. have been directed from March 11,
and who are eligible to permanent indemnification. The contents are as
follows:

○Extention of payment due date at the new site
 <Condition>
  This will be applied based on the customers' offer, in the case that the
  customers who have evacuated from the area to which evacuation order etc.
  have been directed from March 11 and who are eligible to permanent
  indemnification, enter into electricity supply contract in the our
  supply area.

 <Special Measures>
  Payment due date of electricity bill (30 days after the following day of
  meter reading) will be extended for 9 months (payment for March, 2011),
  8 months (payment for April, 2011), 7 months (payment for May, 2011),
  6 months (payment for June, 2011), 5 months (payment for July, 2011),
  4 months (payment for August, 2011), 3 months (payment for September,
  2011),
  2 months (payment for October, 2011), and 1 month (payment for November,
  2011) respectively.
