Regarding samples (such as air in the station site, seawater around the
station) taken daily in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, we have
carried out nuclide analysis, determining the radiation dose of the three
main nuclides*, and reported the prompt results to Nuclear and Industry
Safety Agency (NISA) of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI),
as well as the Fukushima Prefecture.
Also, with regard to nuclide analysis results on the main three nuclides
and other nuclides, we reevaluate and compile as final results, and report
them to NISA of METI and the Fukushima Prefecture.
(previously announced on April 4 and April 20, 2011)
We reevaluated the nuclide analysis results on the samples (July 16 -
August 31) taken from air in the station site, seawater / marine soil
around the station, seawater around the intake of Unit 1 to 4, sub-drain
water around the turbine buildings, sub-drain water around the Centralized
Radiation Waste Treatment Facility, and seawater offshore of Ibaraki and
Miyagi Prefectures. Today we reported the final results to NISA of METI and
the Fukushima Prefecture.
We will also reevaluate nuclide analysis results on air in the station
site, seawater around the station, etc. taken on and after September 1, and
report.
*the main three nuclides are Iodine-131, Cesium-134, Cesium-137
