The Following is the current plant status at Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power
Station after an earthquake occurred at 2:36 pm on August 19, 2011.
The peak ground acceleration in the premises of Fukushima Daini was 59.3
gal (vertical) recorded at the base mat of Reactor Building, Unit 1.
Radioactive Impact to the outside: No
The monitoring posts on Fukushima Daini's boundary indicated within normal
range of fluctuation before and after the earthquake. As far as we have
confirmed, there has been no radioactive impact to the outside environment.
As far as we have confirmed, no one was injured due to the earthquake.
Workers had been evacuated according to the announcement of tsunami
warning.
