We sincerely apologize to residents living in the surrounding areas of the
nuclear power stations and the general public for the anxiety and
inconvenience caused by the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power
Station and Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station.
1.Temporary Payments for business losses related to the governmental
evacuation instructions etc.
We have discussed on the business losses related to the governmental
evacuation instructions etc. among concerned bodies. Since the discussions
have been concluded, we will begin to make temporary payments to persons
engaged in agriculture and forestry in the designated evacuation area*1.
2.Temporary Payments for losses related to the governmental shipment
limitation instruction etc.
In addition, regarding the temporary payments we make in response to
individual claims for losses related to the governmental shipment
limitation etc., the period subject to compensation, which is currently up
to the end of April, has been extended up to the end of June. We will make
payments accordingly.
3.Claim Measures
We request that related organizations group all compensation claims from
persons engaged in agriculture and forestry into one when submitting,
however, for those who would prefer to file claims independently, please
fill in the "Application Form of Temporary Compensation Payment", attach
the Necessary Documents*2, and then send them directly to us.
4.Contents of Temporary Payments
We will verify the contents of the applications and make temporary payments
for half of the relevant losses.

Under the Nuclear Compensation System including the Nuclear Disaster
Compensation Law, based on the guideline by the government panel in
addressing disputes over compensation for nuclear accidents, we will make
continuous efforts to begin swift payouts of the established compensation
amounts.
We will announce the details of the established compensation in late August.
*1 Designated Evacuation Area: evacuation area, former stay-indoors zone,
deliberate evacuation area, and evacuation-prepared area in case of
emergency
*2 Necessary Documents: Certification as Agriculture and Forestry business,
Certification as Agriculture noted on Agriculture Land Basic Register,
Cultivation Certification, others [documents related to volume and
amount of shipment] etc.
