On March 11, 2011, while Units 1 to 4 (Boiling Water Reactor Type, Rated
Output: 1,100 MW) of Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station were during
constant thermal output operation, at 2:48 pm, all Reactors automatically
stopped due to Tohoku-Chihou Taiheiyo-Oki Earthquake (previously announced
on March 11).
At 7:15 am on March 15, the reactor of Unit 4 achieved cold shutdown. As a
result, all reactors of Units 1 to 4 at Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power
Station achieved cold shutdown (previously announced on March 15).
We reported the status of Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station affected by
Tohoku-Chihou Taiheiyo-Oki Earthquake and subsequent Tsunami identified to
date to Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, Ministry of Economy, Trade
and Industry today.
