We have decided to supply power to Tohoku Electric Power Company which
suffered severe damage from the quake in order to support balance of
demand and supply. In response to the request from Tohoku Electric Power
Company, we have been conducting power interchanges since August 4.
We have continuously planned to supply 300MW between 6:00 am on August 8
and 10:00 pm on August 11 to Tohoku Electric Power Company. In response to
the request for a power supply from Tohoku Electric Power Company, based
on the supply and demand balance in our service area, we have decided to
extend power supply in the same level until 10:00 pm on August 13.
We assume we can maintain proper reserve capacity. Therefore, there will
be no problem in supplying stable amount of electricity in our service
area.
