On June 22, 2011, we received an instruction document, from Nuclear and
Industrial Safety Agency (NISA), entitled "Instruction to submit reports
related to injection of nitrogen to the reactor containment vessel of Unit
2 at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station"*, and with regard to the
injection of nitrogen into the primary containment vessel of Unit 2, we
have checked and reported to NISA that we need to implement the nitrogen
injection and the influence on the environment of the site periphery by
the injection is not as big as the exposure dose in daily life.
(Previously announced on June 22 and 25, 2011)
Afterward, as we have been informed by NISA, with regard to the manner of
implementation of nitrogen injection that we reported, that it is
evaluated as valid and now we are ready to do it, we have decided that we
are going to implement the injection of nitrogen into the primary
containment vessel of Unit 2 at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station at
8:00 pm today.

that may arise from an inaccurate rendering of the original Japanese text.
We may provide the English translation that NISA releases in our press
releases. However, in principle we would advise you to visit the NISA
