We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works 
and non conformances at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station 
after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/ Restoration Status 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between January 21 to January 
    27, 2011 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit 2 500kV power cable inspection (Voltage application test): 
       January 21, 2011 

   - Unit 3 Circulating water pipe inspection (Foundation improvement, 
     excavating work, and inspection of pipes): 
       January 25, 2011 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between January 28 to 
    February 3, 2011
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit 2 Seismic reinforcement works (Seismic reinforcement works such 
     as pipe supports): 
       February 1, 2011 

   - Unit 3 System functional test (Functional test of turbine bypass 
     valve): 
       February 3, 2011*
