We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works 
and non conformances at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station 
after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/ Restoration Status 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between November 26 to December 
    2, 2010 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit 5 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after 
     generating power at approx. 20% of the rated output): 
       November 26 

   - Unit 5 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after 
     generating power at approx. 50% of the rated output): 
       November 29 

   - Unit 5 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after 
     generating power at approx. 75% of the rated output): 
       December 1 

   - Restoration works of filtrate tank/ demineralized tank on Arahama-side 
     (Restoration work of No.2 demineralized tank): 
       November 26 

   - Reconstruction of arrestor steel tower on Ominato-side: 
       November 30 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between December 3 to 
    December 9, 2010 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit 3 Fuel-load work:
       December 1* 

   - Unit 3 System functional test (Functional test of main steam isolation 
     valve):
       December 3
