We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works 
and non conformances at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station 
after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/ Restoration Status 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between November 19 to November 
    25, 2010 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit 5 Functional test for the entire plant (Restarting the nuclear 
     reactor): 
       November 18* 

   - Unit 5 Functional test for the entire plant (Test of raising the 
     reactor pressure to approx. 3.5 MPa):
       November 21 

   - Unit 5 Functional test for the entire plant (Test of raising the 
     reactor pressure to approx. 7.0 MPa):
       November 23 

   - Unit 5 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after 
     activating a main turbine generator):
       November 24 

   - Unit 5 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after 
     temporary main generator synchronization): 
       November 25 

   - Unit 5 Reinforcement works for spent fuel transportation cask 
     storage building: 
       November 25 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between November 26 to 
    December 2, 2010 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit 3 System functional test (Partial interlock functional test of 
     liquid waste storage facility and disposal equipment #1):
       November 29
