We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and non conformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between June 18 to June 24, 2010 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit 1 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after reaching rated 
     thermal output):
       June 17* 

   - Unit 1 Functional test for the entire plant (Functional test for reactor core 
     isolation cooling system (RCIC)):
       June 22 

   - Unit 1 Functional test for the entire plant (Functional test of off-gas treatment 
     system):
       June 23 

   - On-site check, inspection and restoration of the oil protection bank for the 
     transformer (Unit 2 Restoration work): 
       June 23 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between June 25 to July 1, 2010 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - No notable activity during this week.
