The Tokyo Electric Power Company Incorporated (TEPCO) announces that effective as of
January 29th, 2010, the previous financial forecasts made in October 30th, 2009, have
been revised due to performance and related factors as outlined below.

The Reason for the Revision
Tokyo Electric Power revises its consolidated and non-consolidated Fiscal 2009 Year-end
financial forecasts since TEPCO can now project its annual costs and expenses based on
its operating plans for Unit 6 and Unit 7 at Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station.
