Press Release (Nov 05,2009)
Restart of Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station Unit No.7 after Refueling
The Tokyo Electric Power Company, Inc. (TEPCO) shut down the Unit No. 7 on September
26, 2009 due to fuel leakage. After conducting minute investigation, we replaced a
total of 100 fuel assemblies, including the one having found to be leaking as well
as others without a debris filter, with new fuel assemblies with a debris filter*.
We plan to restart the reactor at around noon on November 8, 2009.

As for the Unit No. 7, TEPCO will do our best to operate safely and securely towards
the general integration inspection.
