We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and nonconformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between September 4 to September 10, 2009 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit No.4 Seismic reinforcement works (Seismic reinforcement works for the roof 
     truss of the reactor building):
       September 7 
   - Unit No.6 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after generating power 
     at approx. 50% of the rated output):
       September 4 
   - Unit No.6 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after generating power 
     at approx. 75% of the rated output):
       September 6 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between September 11 to September 17, 2009 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit No.4 Seismic reinforcement works (Preparation for seismic reinforcement works 
     for reactor building overhead crane): 
       September 14

 ◇ Work Schedule of Major Inspection/Restoration from September 6 to October 3, 2009

   - Work Schedule of the Main Inspection/Restoration of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear 
     Power Station in Response to the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (during 4 Weeks)
