Nonconformances Found in the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-
Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake
Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection and
Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo Electric
Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing incidents
information reported from July 2 to July 8, 2009.

◇ Other Findings
- Information on Nonconformances (those related to: the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake;
Grades As, A, B, C, D; and non-graded)
* Numbers were corrected to reflect nonconformance incidents that had been
identified as not related to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (3 cases).
- In response to the incident of hydrogen concentration increase in the off-gas
system that occurred at other utilities' units, we conducted replacement work
of the instrumentation piping for the hydrogen concentration gauge with the
purpose of early detection of hydrogen concentration increase, and have completed
the work on July 8, 2009.
