Status of the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (as of July 2)
We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and nonconformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between June 26 to July 2, 2009 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit No.1 Submerged equipment inspection on ground floor 5 of the reactor combination 
     building: 
       June 30 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between July 3 to July 9, 2009 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit No.4 Main generator inspection (Rotor carrying in): 
       July 7 
   - Unit No.4 Seismic reinforcement works (Seismic reinforcement works for stack): 
       July 6

 ◇ Work Schedule of Major Inspection/Restoration from June 28 to July 25, 2009

   - Work Schedule of the Main Inspection/Restoration of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear

Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection and 
Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo Electric 
Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing incidents 
information reported from June 25 to July 1, 2009.

◇ Other Findings - In response to the incident of hydrogen concentration increase of the off-gas system that occurred at other utilities' units, replacement work of the instrumentation piping for the hydrogen concentration gauge with the purpose of early detection of hydrogen concentration increase is underway at Unit No.6 from June 29 to July 8, 2009.
