Forecast of Electricity Supply and Demand in the Summer 2009
1. Forecast of Electricity Supply and Demand
The Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc. (TEPCO) expects its peak demand of the summer 2009 to be 
about 61.00 million kW with the assumption of normal summer temperatures. On the other hand, 
as for electricity supply, TEPCO will make efforts to secure additional supply by output 
increase operation, utilization of electricity during start-up testing, purchasing extra 
electricity from in-house power generators, etc., and it will lead to securement of 67.00 
million kW excluding the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station Unit No.1 - Unit No.6 hit 
by the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake.
