We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and nonconformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between May 29th to June 4th, 2009 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit No.7 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after generating power 
     at approx. 50% of the rated output): 
       May 29th 
   - Unit No.7 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after generating power 
     at approx. 75% of the rated output): 
       June 1st 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between June 5th to June 11th, 2009 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit No.1 Seismic reinforcement works (Seismic reinforcement works for reactor building 
     overhead crane): 
       June 9th 
   - Unit No.2 Seismic reinforcement works (Seismic reinforcement works for the roof truss 
     of the reactor building): 
       June 8th 
   - Unit No.5 Main exhaust duct inspection and restoration (Restoration work of duct): 
       June 8th 
   - Unit No.6 System functional test (Partial interlock functional tests of reactor 
     protection system): 
       June 10th 
   - Reconstruction of arrestor steel tower on Arahama-side (Reconstruction): 
       June 10th
