We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and nonconformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status

 ○ Inspection and restoration completed between December 12th to December 18th, 2008 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   • Unit No.3 Stack inspection (Inspection of stand-by gas treatment system pipe support): 
      December 15th 
   • Unit No.7 Turbine inspection (Low-pressure turbine (A) (B) (C) restoration work 
     of blades): 
      December 18th 
   • House boilers inspection (Ohminato-side: 4C Inspection of boilers): 
      December 17th 

 ○ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between December 19th to December 25th, 2008

  Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing 
  incidents information reported from December 11th to December 17th, 2008.

 ○ Other Findings

   • As for the low-pressure turbine (A), (B) and (C), restoration of turbine blades, 
     such as installation of rotor blades and cleansing of rotor etc., will be completed 
     on December 18th, 2008. 
     Subsequently, restoration of casing of the low-pressure turbine will be commenced 
     on December 19th, 2008 (scheduled date of completion is to be determined).
