We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and 
nonconformances at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after 
the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status

 ○ Inspection and restoration completed between October 3rd to October 9th, 2008 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   • Restoration and reinforcement work for the on-site/outside roads and slope, etc.:
      September 30th* 

 ○ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between October 10th to October 16th, 2008 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   • Unit No.1 Stack inspection (Inspection of pile foundation [additional inspection]):

   • Unit No.3 Reactor recirculation piping preventive maintenance (Ultrasonic testing):

   • Unit No.6 Reactor internal pump input transformer inspection (Electrical testing):

   • Unit No.7 System functional test (Functional test of stand-by liquid control system):

        identified as not related to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (3 cases) and that 
        had been double-counted (1 case).
