We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and 
nonconformances at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the 
Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status

 ○ Inspection and restoration completed between September 12th to September 18th, 2008 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   • Unit No.7 House transformer inspection (7A and 7B Installation work): 
      September 12th 

 ○ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between September 19th to September 25th, 2008 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   • Unit No.6 Seismic reinforcement work (Preparation for seismic reinforcement works for 
     reactor building ceiling crane): 
      September 21st 
   • Unit No.7 System functional test (Functional test for the reactor containment vessel 
     spray system): 
      September 18th*
   • Unit No.7 System functional test (Interlock functional test for liquid waste storage 
     facility and disposal equipment): 
      September 19th 
   • Unit No.7 System functional test (Functional test for DC power source system): 
      September 24th
